Michael Owen will lead The Dragons on Saturday in their Round 3 Heineken Cup match against Munster. Club captain Jason Forster has been ruled out of the match with a groin strain so Owen takes over the captaincy armband.
Owen was not involved in last week’s win over Worcester but was impressive throughout November for Wales and captained the side to a win over Fiji. The return of Owen to the side who will be joined by Andrew Hall and Jamie Ringer in the back row gives the forwards added experience following their impressive performance against Worcester.
