Reebok Regional Championship U16 Preview

The race for a place in this season's WRU Reebok Regional U16 Championship final is warming up ahead of tomorrow night's (Wednesday) fifth round of games.

The Dragons, Ospreys, Blues North and Blues South have all won two out of three so far this term although the Ospreys are sitting on top of the pile by virtue of having earned more bonus points than the other three. However, The Dragons have a chance to cut that gap or even leapfrog the Ospreys if they can defeat the Blues North at Penycraig.
The North have been the surprise package this season. Having finished at the foot of the table last season, they have won two of their three games to date, but The Dragons have already beaten the Scarlets (13-0) and Ospreys (13-12) this term. Their one defeat came last time out, 17-14 at the Blues South in Cardiff.

In the other game, the Ospreys host the winless Scarlets at Corus Rugby Club with a home win very much on the cards. The Scarlets have lost all three games to date despite running Blues North close in their most recent game at Stradey Park. They lost that contest 14-12 having already been beaten 13-8 by Blues South and 13-0 on the opening day at The Dragons. The Ospreys kicked off their season with a 17-5 victory over the Blues South in Cardiff and after hammering Blues North 25-8 last month, they suffered their first defeat of the season, 13-12 against The Dragons at Newbridge.
