Newport Gwent Dragons players Gareth Cooper and Sione Tuipulotu were out and about in the Region last Sunday as they travelled to Monmouth to present prizes at the Gwent Cup Finals.
The event was a huge success with over 100 young players from Monmouth, Cwmbran, Tredegar, Newport and Abergavenny competing in the finals of the Gwent Cup. They were cheered on by 1,000 people.
“We are very grateful to Gareth and Sione who were engulfed by the youngsters all asking for autographs. Gareth and Sione gave away the prizes to all the players at the end of the competition and both were excellent ambassadors for the Dragons,” commented Graham Spawforth.
The Dragons players will be out and about across the Region in the coming months attending presentation evenings, rugby tournaments and various other community events.
