The Gwent Premier Select squad for the game against Newport Gwent Dragons on Wednesday 9th August has been confirmed.
Coaches Ian Gardner, Gareth Linton and Greg Woods in conjunction with The Dragons management have selected an initial strong 27-man squad made up of players from Ebbw Vale, Cross Keys, Bedwas and Newport.
The game will be played at Pandy Park, Cross Keys (kick off 7.15pm) and allows The Dragons management the opportunity to have a look at the Premiership players in a game situation and assess players who would be available to them during the season.
Meanwhile The Dragons are expected to select a number of their new signings for the game and also play Academy members Ashley Smith, Alex Walker and Lewis Evans. The Academy members have trained alongside The Dragons senior squad all summer and have impressed the coaches with their professionalism, dedication and hard work.
