Newport Gwent Dragons have signed a new three-year, six figure deal with Worthington's to become official beer to the Rodney Parade club.
Dragons Commercial Director Gethin Jenkins said, "It is a fantastic announcement and we have secured a great deal. Worthington's have been supporters of grass roots rugby for a long time and it is tremendous they are backing us. The deal highlights that we are growing on and off the field and we look forward to working with them on a number of promotions and events."
As part of the sponsorship deal the Worthington's logo will appear on the back of The Dragons jersey, the brand will also receive high profile in stadium branding and access to players throughout the course of the season.
Martin Anderson Regional Director of Coors Brewers said, "We are delighted to be forming this superb new partnership with The Dragons. Worthington's is a brand which has been synonymous with "grass roots rugby" in Wales for many years. We are now taking it to new heights with our involvement with regional rugby in Wales. We are excited by The Dragons ambitions and look forward to being a very proactive sponsor. We have some great activity we are working on with the club including naming a bar at Rodney Parade and taking the players out into the region and developing the game at club level.
