A Brighter Rodney Parade
While the Dragons and Newport RFC await a regenerated Rodney Parade, Friends of Newport Rugby (FoNR) have arranged and funded the repainting of the Rodney Parade goal posts ready for next season.
The work was carried out with materials and labour supplied by T A Roden Ltd and the necessary “cherry picker” access platform was supplied by Robert Price Builders Merchants.
FoNR Secretary Kev Jarvis said: “We are extremely grateful to both companies for this generous support of this project.
“Future projects to support the infrastructure at Rodney Parade will be carefully vetted before we undertake them. FoNR are well aware of the planned redevelopment and it would be unwise to spend considerable sums on projects that cannot be taken into the new stadium.
“FoNR will continue to offer financial and volunteer support to Newport RFC and also continue with the regular support we give to the local rugby community.”
