Newport Gwent Dragons players Rhys “Stinky” Thomas, Kevin “The Rat” Morgan, Shaun “Des O” Connor and Gareth “The Mauler” Maule enjoyed a fabulous night of darts and regional rivalry when they competed against thirteen times darts champ Phil “The Power” Taylor and players from the Blues and the Ospreys at Porthcawl this week, courtesy of Worthington’s.
The boys each played “The Power” in front of a huge audience at the HiTide Inn. The mischievous Shaun Connor managed to beat the darts champ (when he was allowed to remove one digit from the three that he had to attain to win the contest!) while Rhys Skinky Thomas was selected to compete in the final round against the Blues’ John "Yappy" Yapp and Ospreys’ Huw "Benny" Bennett, yet fell short of the title to a very happy "Yappy" at the end of the evening.
