The big derby match in Wales during the Christmas holidays sees the Blues take on the Dragons at the brand new Cardiff City Stadium on the 27th of December, 6.00pm kick off.

The festive fixture promises to be a real cracker and it will be the first chance for many Dragons supporters to visit the new stadium which is only a mile away from the Arms Park.

Cardiff Blues v Newport Gwent Dragons matches are always passionate affairs and this season promises to be no different with the Dragons the form team in Wales and the Blues looking to gain ground in the Magners League.

There is sure to be a great atmosphere at the ground with Welsh singing star John Owen-Jones from Burry Port performing songs from Les Miserable ahead of the match.

After training at London's Central School of Speech and Drama, John became the youngest actor to ever play the role of Jean Valjean in the West End production of Les Miserables at the age of 26 and is now performing in the production in the Wales Millennium Centre.

The Cardiff City Stadium is easy to reach by car from the M4. Exit at junction 33, leave the roundabout at the exit signed A4232 (Cardiff) for 6.1 miles then take the exit signposted Cardiff City Stadium, onto B4267 slip road. The Stadium is on the right hand side.

Unlike the Arms Park there is circa 500 car parking spaces at the Cardiff City Stadium and match day parking is available via the entrance off Sloper Road, opposite Ninian Park for £5.

There are also two train stations located in the vicinity of the new stadium, Ninian Park and Grangetown. Supporters travelling to Cardiff Central can also catch the shuttle bus service from Westgate Street (outside Burger King) which also stops at the rear car park behind Cardiff Central Train Station.

The shuttle bus service is free for Blues season ticket holders and costs on £2.00 for non season ticket holders. There is already a regular service every 10 minutes from Cardiff Central Bus Station to the Cardiff City Stadium. http://www.cardiffbus.com/

Tickets for the match are very competitively priced with under 16's being able to watch their favourite players in action from only £5. Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) costs just £40 in the Family Stand.

Reserved seating tickets cost only £25 while unreserved seating tickets cost just £20.
