U16S TAKE ON BLUES NORTH

The Dragons U16s follow up last week’s encouraging 20-16 victory over Blues South with their second fixture tomorrow, against Blues North at Abercwmboi RFC kick-off 7.15.

Dragons Performance Development Manager, Will Thomas, said: “We started slowly last week and were 13-0 down mid-way through the first half. But we managed to gain possession and territory and scored two quick fire tries through Hallom Amos and Ashton Hewitt to bring us into the lead at half time. In the second half we went off the boil again, went behind and down to 13 men. But the boys dug deep and scored a try to secure the win

“It is the same starting XV apart from one enforced change where Rhys Anderson is replaced by Evan Whitson in the backrow. The Blues North had a convincing win in their first game against North Wales. They are a tough team to beat at home and will provide a big test.”
