Dragons Head Coach Darren Edwards will be taking Wayne Evans, Ashley Smith, Joe Bearman, Dan Lydiate and Aled Brew to support regional club Senghennyd as they take on Maesteg Quins in the SWALEC bowl at the Millennium Stadium on Monday.
Edwards will speak to the Saints before they take to the field and will watch the game from the stands with the Men of Gwent.
“It is really important to support our regional clubs,” said Smith. “It’s great for the region to have a finalist in the SWALEC competition and hopefully we’ll be able to cheer them on to victory.”
The game will have an extra twist for Edwards as a former Maesteg player. “There will of course always be a place in my heart for Maesteg, but as Dragons Head Coach on Monday I will definitely be supporting Senghennydd”
