On a cold night in Blackwood, 40 junior coaches from across the region attended the WRU/Dragons Coaching Association on developing the contact area in the junior game.
Delivered by WRU Coach Development Officer, Mike Pugsley, the evening contained a mix of theory and practical delivery, providing coaches that attended with an insight on how to develop the fundamentals of the managing contact. Mike utilised players from Caerphilly District to demonstrate how to put the theory into practice.
Mike said, 'it is important that up to date information, skills and drills are passed on to the coaches working in the community. These nights are becoming more and more popular and the feedback we are getting is really positive.'
