The Dragons under 16's lost to Blues North under 16's last night at a very wet and windy Ebbw Vale. With a strong wind behind them the home team started off positively playing the conditions well, a great break by Scott Turner led to him scoring an individual try which he duly converted. Unfortunately mistakes from there on in cost the Dragons dearly and the Blues were able to score two tries of their own which were also converted.
With the weather not letting up it was backs to the wall in the second half but a spirited defence enabled the to keep the Blues to only a penalty. The final score was Dragons 7 Blues 17.
Grant Robson head coach stated " I am very disappointed with the result the Blues managed to cope against the conditions far better than we did. Its not a case of back to the drawing board but we need to reinforce the principles of what we did through the summer, I believe that we have a very talented group of boys here we are not far off where we need to be."
