Newport Gwent Dragons have had 3 players named in the Wales squad for the game against the Barbarians and the tour to Australia in June. Will Harries joins Danny Lydiate and Toby Faletau in the 38-man training squad.

Will Harries has impressed with the Dragons at the end of the season and has been rewarded with a recall to the international scene. Harries has 2 Wales caps to his name, his debut coming on the 2010 tour to New Zealand and his second in the November 2010 international against Australia at the Millennium Stadium.

Departing players Luke Charteris and Aled Brew also make the extended training squad.

Wales caretaker head coach Rob Howley said “We have been pretty consistent with selection, it's now down to these players to pick up where we left off in the Six Nations and prove to us that they should be on that plane to Australia.”

"We have a tough series ahead of us with five matches in four weeks and two games in two separate Hemispheres in the space of seven days, but we are fully focussed on the prize of that elusive Southern Hemisphere scalp."
