One of Newport’s very own parks has been short listed to win a makeover for a nationwide competition. The Dragons are getting behind local park, Breacon Park, which could be in the chances of winning an exciting £30,000 makeover after the local community group entered it into the Flora Playground Competition. The aid would go towards regenerating old play equipment for the children, new picnic benches and creating a wildlife area. The competition is supported by Flora and Tesco in order to improve a well used park. The community group is holding a family fun day at Breacon Park on the 22nd September with lots of activities for all of the family to join in with.
