The Dragons were invited to attend this years Newport's Night of Honour, held at the Kings Church. Our very own Community Manager, Mike Sage was lucky enough to attend and present an award which the Dragons sponsored.
Newports Night of Honour is all about recognising amazing achievements from within the city. Hosted by the Kings Church the night was in its third successive year. As well as entertainment from the Kings Church Team, it included entertainment by actor and comedian Bobby Ball, who provided the audience with a good few laughs.
Mike was there to present the 'Young Person of the Year' award; a child or teenager who has made a difference to their school, activity group or community.Whether they are raising money for charity, mentoring, motivating or volunteering, their commitment, passion and enthusiasm to see other people excel knows no end.
The two lucky winners of this award were Joseph Ali and Danielle Penn, both of whom alongside their award they will be recieveing a family ticket each for a Dragons game of their choice.
