On Thursday 28 March the second annual Newport RFC Hall of Fame Dinner will take place in the Bisley Stand Business Suite at Rodney Parade.
Last year saw the induction of a number of Black and Amber legends; Arthur Gould, Tommy Vile, Ken Jones, Bryn Meredith, David Watkins, Jeff Watkins, David Waters, Rhys Morgan, Dan Griffiths and Dai Pattison. With honours also bestowed upon Tony Brown and Richard Mullock for their vital contributions off-the-field.
The inaugural event in 2012 was incredibly popular with tickets selling at a rapid rate – the same is expected to by the case this year so make sure that you grab yours soon. Tickets are priced at £30 each; available from the Friends of Newport Rugby Trust and the Rodney Parade Ticket Office.
Who will be inducted this year? You’ll have to wait and see, but you can be sure that the list will feature names from the entire history of Newport RFC.
There will also be a celebration of the Newport side that beat South Africa 100 years ago.
