Newport Gwent Dragons fullback Dan Evans has been hit with a five-week ban after committing a dangerous tackle against Newcastle.

Team mate Nic Cudd was penalised for this at the game with a red card as he was sent off in the early parts of the second half.

Following a hearing on Tuesday evening for both players in Bristol, video evidence has shown that Nic Cudd has been exonerated but Dan was banned and will return to play on the 12^th March 2013.
