Through the partnership our community department has visited the school; the school has visited our Second Half education project on two separate days and have also enjoyed the match day experience as our guests at the Dragons v Northampton game. We also linked up with Blackwood RFC who brought three coach loads of children and parents to the same match, many of the children having been part of the school initiative.
The school has really enjoyed this regional experience and the pupils have been very enthusiastic especially when meeting many of the Dragons players including Dan Way, Jon Evans and Pat Leach. The photo shows the smiles on the pupil’s faces as sports teacher; Mr. Lewis receives a framed certificate from Dragons star player Pat Leach and Nia Singleton of Tata Steel.
