This weekend will see two great games of rugby as Newport RFC take on Pontypridd Friday and the Dragons play Glasgow. Not only however can you experience great sport at Rodney Parade this weekend but we also have Friends of Newport Rugby’s Real Ale Festival accompanying both games.
The Festival will include a marquee between the stadium ground and the clubhouse with over 25 real ales and ciders available as well as live entertainment provided on both days. This is a chance to try various drinks, enjoy live music and also make a day out of going to watch the rugby.
As well as the chance to meet the players themselves the money from the festival will also go towards helping preserve the Parade and its teams through the great work done by Friends of Newport Rugby. This event has proved itself over the years to be great fun as well as providing sizable funds to support FoNR, so we appreciate any support from our loyal fans.
The Festival Bar will be open Friday 19th from 3-11pm with the Newport RFC vs Pontypridd game at 7.15 and the following day on the 20th it will be open a giant 12 hours from 11-11pm with the Dragons vs Glasgow kick off at 2.40.
