Injured Newport hooker Will Evans pulled the lucky numbers out of the bag and was ably assisted by Newport RFC intern Kimberley Martin. Will had a very serious shoulder injury early in the season and is desperate to get back onto the pitch and play in front of the home supporters.
Will commented: “I sustained my injury at the beginning of the season and haven’t played at Rodney Parade at all this season, because of pre-season friendlies being played away from home.
“We haven’t performed as a team this year and I want to do my bit to put things right.”
