Jones names Dragons team to take on CA-Brive

Newport Gwent Dragons’ head coach, Kingsley Jones has named his team to face CA-Brive in the final pool match of the 2016/17 European Rugby Challenge Cup.

The Men of Gwent travel to France to take on the top of the pool team CA-Brive, in an attempt to take their number one position in the pool, following a win against Enisei-STM at Rodney Parade last weekend. 

The back three sees fullback Carl Meyer retain his position alongside wing Adam Hughes and Pat Howard. The centre partnership sees Sam Beard named alongside Adam Warren who moves from wing to centre. The half-backs are all change as Angus O’Brien take on the role of fly-half with Tavis Knoyle named as scrum-half.

The front row has once change made to it as tighthead prop Lloyd Fairbrother is named to pack down alongside hooker Thomas Rhys Thomas and loosehead prop Sam Hobbs. The second row sees lock Nick Crosswell named and make his 50th appearance for the Dragons alongside Welsh International Cory Hill. The back row sees the return of flanker Ollie Griffiths and skipper Lewis Evans, with number 8 Ed Jackson included.

The replacements bench sees Phil Price, Craig Mitchell, Rynard Landman, Nic Cudd, Sarel Pretorius and Dorian Jones join Rhys Buckley and Harri Keddie.
