Following the end of the regular season in Europe's top competitions, Leinster are European champions and have a chance to scoop the double with the Pro14 title next weekend against championship holders Scarlets, whilst Cardiff Blues lifted this year's European Challenge Cup title for a second-time, and all three sides will be in Europe's premier competition next campaign.
With the French Rugby Pro D2 / Top 14 relegation battle completed, the final spot in next year's Champions Cup was decided with Ulster defeating Ospreys in Belfast to retain their record of participating at the top table of European rugby, but it 's a return to the Challenge Cup for the Liberty Stadium based Welsh region.
