Dragons head to Scotland and the Scotstoun Stadium looking to build on the home victory over Zebre Rugby.
And ahead of the big game on Saturday evening, Jackman has said that while he will look to use the same playing squad of recent weeks he will make changes to manage resources.
“We are going to make changes and we will give some of the bench a start,” he said.
“There is consistency in the group, one or two will come in from outside, but it is the majority of the same 22.
“They have trained together for the last four or five weeks and we are lucky that we use the A team to train against on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It means those players aren’t far away from the senior squad.
“We will take out a few boys who have niggles, who are banged up and who didn’t have a big pre-season.
“We are conscious of the fact that most teams get a spike in injuries in the first six rounds.
“We’ve been unlucky with Hallam (Amos) and Tyler (Morgan) and we want to be careful in how we manage some of the boys who played rugby in June.
“We’ll look after Cory (Hill) this weekend and anyone else who has knocks. We won’t take risks.”
Jackman has revealed that centre Jack Dixon is set to miss the game in Scotland after coming off with a stinger in win over Zebre.
However, there is set to be positive news on Wales centre Morgan after his hamstring strain.
“Jack is not too bad,” added Jackman. “It’s nothing serious, but he probably won’t be fit and we definitely see him being fit for Cardiff Blues.
“Jack has been great. He is still a young man, but he has taken on a lot of responsibility in terms of defence and is in our defensive group.
“We were worried that the injury looked bad. But once the power came back he was okay and we’re hopeful he will be back very soon.
“Tyler could be back for Blues which is huge. We are monitoring him and we will know more on Monday, but we are hopefully he could be involved.”
