Dee & Evans set for Cheetahs clash

09/04/2019

First team duo Elliot Dee and Lewis Evans are set to make a return for the Guinness PRO14 fixture with Toyota Cheetahs in South Africa this Saturday evening (kick-off 6.35pm UK time).

Both players were ruled out of the opening tour game with Isuzu Southern Kings, but are now due to return to full training this week as availability in the squad rises to over 70%.

Head Coach Ceri Jones said: “Both Elliot and Lewis are back in full training from today (Tuesday) and that is a big boost for us ahead of the weekend.

“Elliot is desperate to get the jersey back on and feature and Lewis brings experience, leadership and is keen to make up for missing the last few games.

“Rhodri (Williams) has a bit of a knock but we are not too concerned at the moment and hopeful that we can get him involved this weekend.”

Injury Updates – Being Assessed

Rhodri Williams (ankle) – Rhodri picked up an ankle injury at the NMU Madibaz Stadium. He will be treated and monitored over the next 48 hours before a fitness test later this week.
