Dragons Back To Pre-Season

14/06/2019

Dragons players have returned to work this week ahead of the 2019/20 season.

The squad has been back in for pre-season this week with a series of fitness sessions as well as strength and conditioning sessions at the Ystrad Mynach training base, as well as taking time for team bonding at Cwmcarn Forest and a session at Newport MMA.

Monday’s trip to Cwmcarn included mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding and orienteering, whilst pro MMA fighter Tim Newman helped coach the squad in wrestling and contact preparation at Newport MMA.

The Dragons squad are building towards the new Guinness PRO14 season, which is expected to start later than usual to reduce the number of competition rounds internationals may miss, with the Rugby World Cup commencing on Friday 20 September.

The home pre-season fixture will be included in Dragons membership and there is still time to join with direct debit payment available, so you can spread the cost of membership of three months, interest-free and with no fee or intrusive credit checks.

A 2019/20 Membership also guarantees your place at all home games of the regular Guinness PRO14 season including the local derbies with Cardiff Blues, Ospreys and Scarlets, plus the European Challenge Cup group stage fixtures, with the draw for next year’s competition taking place next week.
