Dragons opened the new European Challenge Cup season with an impressive 31-17 win over Castres Olympique in Pool 1 at Rodney Parade.
Number Eight Taine Basham grabbed a hat-trick and wing Dafydd Howells, on his return, also crossed the whitewash.
