Moriarty undergoes ankle surgery

02/12/2020

Dragons have confirmed that back row Ross Moriarty has successfully undergone surgery on his ankle.

Moriarty, 26, went under the knife on Monday following a review with a specialist over an ankle issue suffered while on Wales international duty.

The back row forward will now commence a period of rehabilitation as he looks to return to full training later this season.

"Sometimes a player can get caught up in trying to make it for every international and it's not worked," said Ryan.

"You've got to then make it about Ross and getting him right and ready to play again at the right time.

"He went in for a review and the decision was taken that it would be better to stabilise the ankle.

“We've done that and we are in the eight weeks out territory, although we have to see how he rehabs."
