Livewire full back Jordan Williams has today committed his long-term future to Dragons by signing a contract extension.
Williams has made 33 appearances for Dragons, scoring seven tries, since making the move from Bristol Bears in 2018.
The talented 26-year-old is currently ruled out of action with a knee injury that will see him return to action next season.
Dean Ryan, Director of Dragons Rugby, said: "Jordan is a talented runner who brings an attacking and dynamic edge to our game.
"We’re looking forward to his return and I’m sure fans at Rodney Parade will be excited about watching him play again now that we can confirm he is staying with Dragons.”
Swansea-born Williams began his rugby career with New Docks Stars RFC. He joined the Scarlets Academy aged 15 and made his first appearance for Llanelli RFC in 2010.
In January 2011 he made his first regional appearance for Scarlets and went on to make over 50 appearances.
Williams moved to Bristol Bears in 2016 before a return to Wales and Dragons in the summer of 2018.
On the international stage, Williams starred for Wales Under-20s during their 2013 Junior World Cup Campaign. He featured on the wing for the Probables in the Wales senior rial in May 2014 and was then named in Warren Gatland's 32-man squad to tour South Africa.
Williams said: “I’ve enjoyed my time back in Wales with Dragons so it’s great to agree the contract extension and commit my future.
“It’s an exciting time to be at the region as we aim to continue to make progress. I’m excited about achieving our ambitions and being part of that journey over the coming seasons.
“It’s frustrating to be injured and miss the second half of the season. But I’m working hard with my rehabilitation and look forward to getting back out with my team-mates and pulling the jersey on again.”
