Season Members & Match Ticket Update

18/06/2020

First of all, we hope you and your family are healthy and safe during this unprecedented time.

Along with all professional sports in Wales, rugby has been suspended since March due to the outbreak of COVID-19, affecting our remaining Guinness PRO14 fixtures with Ulster Rugby, Leinster Rugby and Cardiff Blues.

Today it was announced that the Guinness PRO14 will recommence on Saturday, August 22. Click HERE for the full statement from PRO14 Rugby.

Dragons welcome news that the season will restart and everyone here looks forward to the day we can see supporters back at Rodney Parade.

However, the increasing likelihood is that the 2019/20 season will now be concluded behind closed doors.

This means many of our Season Members and match ticket buyers will have tickets to games that we can no longer fulfil.

With supporters at the forefront of our planning, we have been working hard behind the scenes with the WRU and the other Welsh regions to come up with the fairest way for our fans to realise the value they’re entitled to whilst considering the long-term sustainability of our region and rugby in Wales.

A number of supporters have asked us how they can help the region at this time and we are hugely grateful for the messages we’ve received in recent months – it’s overwhelming to receive your well-wishes and see how you have looked to support us.

Supporters will have the option to ‘Support’ the Dragons by allowing us to invest your refund back into the region and ensure we are in as strong a position as possible to return when the time is right.

Other options will include putting the money as 'Credit' towards future purchases or, if supporters wish, they can opt for a pro-rata 'Refund' based on the remaining games of the 2019-20 season.

All hospitality guests for our remaining three games will also be contacted by our Commercial team.

We are now working on the technical solutions required to deliver these options and full details will be confirmed in due course. We thank supporters for their patience and updates will be provided on email, on our website and social media channels when available.

With regards to our European Challenge Cup quarter-final fixture with Bristol Bears, we are awaiting updates from tournament organisers EPCR. If the decision is made to play the game behind closed doors we will communicate full details with supporters.

These are hugely challenging times, but we are all in this together and all part of the Dragons family. By staying strong and unified we can all look forward to coming together once more at Rodney Parade to watch our sport in the future.

Thank you for your continued support.
