Cudd: Thanks for the memories

20/05/2020

Back row Nic Cudd has thanked Dragons for giving him the opportunity to ‘live out my boyhood dream’ after the news he will leave the region at the conclusion of the 2019/20 season.

Long-serving Cudd will depart Rodney Parade after eight years and 130 games for Dragons.

The hugely popular back row – speaking on social media – believes Dragons are heading in the right direction and also paid tribute to the medical team for their support over the last 12 months.

“I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the messages I have received since the announcement that I will be leaving Dragons at the end of this season,” he said.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my eight years with the Dragons and I am going to miss the place, players, supporters and people associated with the team.

“I’ve had some awesome experiences which I will never forget and made some great friends along the way.

"I wish Dragons all the best for the future. I am sure they are heading in the right direction and can’t thank them enough for giving me the opportunity to live out my boyhood dream,” he added.

“I also want to thank them for the excellent care I received whilst injured which has meant that I have been able to return to full fitness.

“I’m looking forward to the future, playing rugby again and to new challenges.”

I am sure they are heading in the right direction and can’t thank them enough for giving me the opportunity to live out my boyhood dream...
