Dragons Rugby have today confirmed the players who will be leaving the region at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Long-serving prop Brok Harris will depart the region at the end of this season as he prepares to return home to South Africa with his family.
The 36-year-old has become a huge fans favourite during his seven years at Rodney Parade.
The legendary prop is set to play his final game for the region – and make his 143rd appearance – this Friday evening when Dragons take on Leinster in Dublin.
Dean Ryan, Director of Dragons Rugby, said: “Brok has been an outstanding player for Dragons over the last seven seasons and fantastic to work with during my time at the region.
“He has produced many memorable performances and has also been a true role model to those around him.
“We wish Brok and his young family every success back in South Africa and I know I speak for everyone connected to the Dragons when I say he will always be welcomed back at Rodney Parade.”
Back row Lewis Evans retires from playing action after a record 236 appearances while second row Matthew Screech was announced as leaving last month to join Cardiff Blues.
Fly half Arwel Robson has linked up with Cornish Pirates and centre Connor Edwards has agreed terms with Doncaster Knights.
Wing Dafydd Howells, hooker Rhys Lawrence and on loan scrum half Luke Baldwin will also leave at the conclusion of this season.
Deon Smith and Joe Goodchild will also depart while Ed Scragg and Carwyn Penny have also made moves to Cornish Pirates. Hooker Storm Hanekom also departs after a season training with the senior squad.
“We thank all the players for their hard work and professionalism throughout their time at Dragons,” added Ryan.
“All of the players leave with our best wishes for their future ambitions in rugby or away from the game.”
The region has also confirmed that Skills Coach Barry Maddocks will leave at the end of the current season.
“Everyone at Dragons is grateful to Barry for his efforts during his time at the region and we wish him the best in the next chapter of his coaching career,” said Ryan.
