Six changes for Under-18s clash

16/06/2021

Dragons Under-18s have announced the team to take on Scarlets Under-18s at Ystrad Mynach tonight (kick-off 7.15pm) - as they look to repeat their victory in the return fixture.

There are a total of six changes to the side that defeated the same opponents 15-14 at Parc y Scarlets last week.

Two of those come in the front row with captain and hooker Sam Scarfe keeping his place and joined by loosehead Dylan K-Griffiths and Conall Couch in the tighthead jersey.

Lock Joe Cooper has a new partner in the second row with Ben Langdon coming into the side.

There is a reshuffle in the back row with Lloyd Thomas moving from openside to blindside, Ben Moa will wear the seven jersey and Charlie Harkins comes into the side at Number Eight.

Morgan Lloyd gets his chance at scrum half, after impressing off the bench last week, and he is joined at half back by last week’s match winner Sam Berry.

Ollie Andrews, the opening try scorer last week, and Oli Andrew keep their places in midfield with Walker Price in the eleven jersey.

Gruff Davies, another to impress off the bench last week and the scorer of the second try at Parc y Scarlets, will line up on the other wing and full back Joe Westwood completes the starting 15.

*Supporters are advised that due to social distancing restrictions and a limit on numbers inside the complex, only the families of both sets of players – with pre-arranged ticketing - will be allowed inside to watch the game. Updates will be posted throughout the night on the official Dragons social media channels. Thank you for your understanding.
