Life in the fast lane for Dyer

15/05/2021

Dragons speedster Rio Dyer is looking to improve his all-round game by testing his limits during the Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup.

The 21-year-old winger has been in fine form for his home region with two tries in his last three games.

“I’m just trying to better myself and see what I can do performance wise, see if I can advance my game from just running and other things that I am good at and used to do doing,” said the Dragons Academy product.

“There are more factors to the game than just running and pace, so I think these run of games will test my limits and that’s what I want, so I can keep trying to improve my game heading into the new season.

“We’ve got Gordon Ross as Backs Coach who has been great for us and for me.

“The coaches have tried to express that I need to go out there and, although I will make mistakes, if I’m not making mistakes then I’m not learning. It’s a good thing to go out there with that mindset.”
