Dragons Women U18s have named a 41-woman squad ahead of the upcoming three regional festivals taking place throughout February.
The festivals will provide invaluable match experience and a national U18 squad will then be selected by head coach Liza Burgess at the end of the month for international training and playing opportunities.
The squad have been training at the Centre of Excellence in Ystrad Mynach over the last few months and sessions have included on field skills, strength and conditioning sessions and individual development plans for players.
The twice weekly high-performance training sessions have been delivered by a brand-new Dragons U18s women coaching team, led by Head Coach Jamie Sollis, Kerry Jenkins, current Welsh international Cerys Hale, Matthew Lewis and Scott Matthews, while Project Co-ordinator Jo Emanuel will oversee the successful delivery of the new Women's programme.
The coaching staff will be supported by Analyst Ellis Brown, S&C coach Jack Littlejohns, and the medical department of Connie Pollard, Sophie Cooke and Nia Morgans.
All 41-Women are from within the Dragons region and will be led by Nelson Belles centre Leanna Maybank who has been named captain heading into the next block of fixtures.
