Dragons u18s Squad Confirmed for RAG Championship

06/01/2022

Dragons Rugby’s Under-18s squad for the upcoming Regional Age Grade Championship fixtures has been confirmed.

The future Dragons return to action after a successful summer in 2021 where they managed three wins in four games against their Welsh rivals, including a double over the Scarlets and victory over Cardiff Rugby.

The campaign gets underway on the back of a successful schools and colleges league for the region's representatives, where the players represented Newport High School, Coleg Gwent and Llandovery College. While numerous players represent colleges over the bridge competing for Hartpury and Clifton.

The Under-18s run of fixtures begins with a warm-up trip to Bristol to face the Bears this Saturday (January 8) before the campaign gets underway later this month as we host Ospreys at the Caerphilly Centre of Sporting Excellence.

Dragons, who have named a strong 42-man squad, will also face RGC, Scarlets and Cardiff Rugby as they go in search for bragging rights against their rivals and victory in the Regional Age Grade Championship.

The home fixtures against Ospreys and Scarlets Rugby are also set to be broadcast live on tv, in an opportunity for the future stars to show off their talents to a broader audience.
