Tomorrow: Welsh Three Peaks Staff Challenge

23/03/2022

Staff from Dragons Rugby will be tackling an epic 24-hour challenge this week - as they complete the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge in aid of our friends at Signposted Cymru.

A team of staff from Rodney Parade will be lacing up their hiking boots to scale the heights of Snowdon (1,085m), Cader Idris (893m) and Pen Y Fan (886m) all in one day.

The bid to hit the heights is all set to take place from Thursday (March 24) and all monies raised will go towards supporting the vital work of Signposted Cymru.

Signposted Cymru provide initial and immediate intervention for individuals struggling, suffering, and needing support with mental health and wellbeing issues by offering responsive, tailored support for people and communities to build brighter futures helping to acknowledge, strive and succeed.

Mark Jones, Managing Director at Dragons Rugby, said: “The staff at Rodney Parade have been long-term supporters of Signposted Cymru and the work of Darren Thomas and his team, so it’s great that we can take on this challenge.

“From our groundstaff to the office team here at Dragons, the team behind the team have all been keen to take part and make a difference.

“We hope to raise as much as possible for Signposted Cymru and our thanks go to our supporters who would like to support us with fundraising donations ahead of this challenge.”
