Wyatt Ready for Toughest Challenge Yet

Dragons Gareth Wyatt believes that the region’s Heneken Cup clash with Bath this weekend will be the toughest test of the season for the Men of Gwent.

Dragons Gareth Wyatt believes that the region’s Heneken Cup clash with Bath this weekend will be the toughest test of the season for the Men of Gwent.

The 31-year-old winger looks ahead to Sunday afternoon at the Rec when the Dragons will look to extend a four-match winning run.

“This is our toughest test of the season so far,” he said. “I am sure you will hear in the press that Bath are going to be strong favourites, but we have been into a lot of games like that.

“We’ve got these four wins under our belt now and we are moving in the right direction.

“We’ve had a lot of new players come into the squad and it took a little bit of time to gel.

“But we have improved steadily and it has really come together for us. We are quite a confident camp, but we are still realistic.

“This is going to be a real test of how far we’ve come.

“We had to raise our level of performance against Glasgow and we are going to have to up it another 20 per cent going in against Bath this week.

“Everyone is aware of that. It’s not just a case of we’ve won our last four and we’ll be all right on Sunday.

“We know we are really going to be tested this weekend and everyone is going to have to raise the level of performance.”
