A Message From Jonny Tickets

Rodney Parade Ticket Office Manager, Jon Hall, says a few words regarding the Dragons fantastic start to the season

Dragons | 26/09/2013

“What a start to the season!  Life in the Rodney Parade Ticket Office is nothing short of hectic at the moment; with both Newport Gwent Dragons and Newport County kicking off the new term in such remarkable fashion, sales are going through the roof for both teams.

The first two Dragons matches saw impressive crowds of 5k+ and almost 7k respectively, lifting the Rodney Parade roof with their vociferous, passionate support, playing an immeasurable part in the brilliant victories.

With bigger crowds come bigger pressures on our match day operations.  Traditionally the majority of tickets sales for Dragons matches are done before match day, however so far this season we have seen many more people turn up on the day to buy their tickets - consequently this means that customers are more likely to have to wait a wee while to purchase or collect their tickets.

I would like to thank those supporters who have braved these queues for their patience and offer a few suggestions on how together we can mitigate these queues, making everyone’s match day experience that much sweeter still.

Tickets are now on sale for all Dragons home matches that have a confirmed date and time, this includes some mouth watering fixtures such as; Cardiff Blues, Munster, Leinster and Bordeaux.  There are a number of ways to book your tickets well in advance of the match ensuring that you have your tickets in hand before you even arrive at Rodney Parade and saving yourself a few quid in the process (up to £3 per ticket from the match day cost); you can call the Ticket Hotline on 01633 674 990 between 9am and 5pm weekdays, or visit the Ticket Office in person during these hours – plus Saturdays between 9am and 1pm – or you can visit newportgwentdragons.com to book online.

If you are buying tickets on match day it's always worth purchasing them as early in the day as possible, the nearer to kick-off we get the more likely you are to have to queue.

Thanks again to all who have shown their support for the Dragons so far, this season is lining up to be a memorable one that we can all play a big part in.”
