Dragons Internationals return for Zebre clash

Newport Gwent Dragons’ head coach Kingsley Jones has named a strong side for the Region’s first home game of the 2016/17 season.

The Men of Gwent take on Zebre at Rodney Parade on Friday 9th September, KO 19:15.

The Welsh Region’s supporters will be delighted to see Welsh International Hallam Amos, who starts for the Dragons at fullback. He is joined in the back three by wingers Adam Warren and last weekends try-scorer Pat Howard. The centre partnership sees Rugby World Cup star Tyler Morgan named in the starting 15 alongside Sam Beard. The halfbacks are unchanged as Nick Macleod and scrum-half Sarel Pretorius retain their positions.

The front row sees Thomas Davies make his first start for the Region, alongside hooker Thomas Rhys Thomas and prop Lloyd Fairbrother. The second row sees Rynard Landman and Nick Crosswell named, whilst the back row sees Captain Lewis Evans return alongside Nic Cudd and Ed Jackson.

The replacements bench is made up of Rhys Buckley, Sam Hobbs, Lloyd Fairbrother, Matthew Screech, James Thomas, Charlie Davies, Angus O’Brien and Geraint Rhys Jones.
