The We Fight Any Claim Family Zone will again be the focal point of the Rodney Parade Matchday experience this season. The Family Zone will be open before and after every Dragons match. There will be a whole host of pre-match community and family activity in the Family Zone organised by the Dragons Community Team. The newly formed Dragons Supporters' Club will also be in the Family Zone before each match to help organise a Q & A and autograph session with Dragons players. The Supporters Club will also be running a raffle every match with match tickets and signed items up for grabs.
Building on the success of last season our ‘Perform at the Parade’ talent contest will be returning this season. Local performers will again be applying to perform on a matchday and will be seen in the Family Zone before the match and even on the field of play at half time.
A new ‘Making the Most of your Matchday’ partnership is also in place with Friars Walk & Kingsway Centre. Individual outlets from the new shopping centre and leisure complex will offer supporters at Rodney Parade give-aways and value adding promotions at every match.
Our Big Screen will be more and more of a feature of matchday this season hosting video content, supporter interaction and competitions. A new collaboration with the University of South Wales means their students will be supporting on a matchday and helping to relay video content live to the screen once the season gets underway. Former Nation Radio Breakfast host Niall Foster joins the team to host our match build up and half time show from the touch line.
Dragons supporters contributed their nominations for this season’s Matchday Playlist through social media channels over the summer. The Matchday Playlist is an eclectic mix of classic and more recent tracks with emotive and upbeat tracks building up to kick off and through half time. Dragons players have also chosen a new walk out track and try track which will feature at every match.
We are delighted to confirm that Cwmbran based pyrotechnic specialists Pendragon Fireworks will once again be providing the Dragons with pre-match flames and fireworks this season.
Every match will boast a new look Half Time Show this season. There will be a mix of competitions and give-aways for supporters to get involved with. Local clubs who win trophies will be invited to take part in laps of honour while we will be inviting supporters onto the field to take part in our famous kicking competitions. Our choirs and music performers will also be involved in some of our half time shows this season.
Our post match entertainment takes place in the Family Zone, which will be hosting live music after all Dragons matches at Rodney Parade this season.
