Dragons Feel The Need for Speed

verybody knows that cheetahs are super fast runners in the wild, capable of 0-60 mph in about 3 seconds, so as the Dragons prepare to take on Toyota Cheetahs tomorrow, it's race time.

After making his Pro14 debut this season centre Connor Edwards is excited about the promising young talent coming through at the Dragons.

When pressed to tip the one young gun Dragons fans should be most excited about as a future prospect, Edwards was quick to pick out two of his fellow backs.

"I think Rio Dyer for me is the one to watch, with his gas he’s lightning quick, there’s not as many players as quick as him, but closely followed by Dan Babos who has had a good season.

When it comes to speed, the Dragons are blessed to have some serious sprinters with Ashton Hewitt, Calvin Wellington and Jared Rosser all able to match Rio Dyer in testing.

However, when asked whether Rio had the edge in the speed stakes over Ashton Hewitt, Edwards went for the more experienced finisher.

“It’s a close toss up between those two, but Ashton is probably the quickest guy I know, there’s not many as fast as him.”

We weren't so sure, so Rio Dyer, Ashton Hewitt and Jared Rosser were put to a speed sprint challenge to test their acceleration ... the result was almost too close to call,
