Prop Brok Harris says he is looking forward to battling against a powerful Leinster side in Dublin tomorrow, writes Ethan Harris, from ExpoSport.
Dean Ryan’s squad will head to the RDS Arena in winning form after dispatching the Glasgow Warriors at Rodney Parade last weekend.
And Harris knows that their Conference A opponents will be a tough matchup as they remain the only unbeaten side in the league this season.
“Leinster’s always a tough place to go, they’re very well balanced and have quality players even without their internationals playing so they’ve got a massive squad,” he said.
“We’re looking forward to it, we’re just going to go out there and try and control everything that we can control.
“Looking at Leinster, they’ve got well balanced forwards, they like the maul and the backs have a lot of skill whilst they like to play rugby, so it’s not going to just be a kicking battle.
“Over the last couple of years, they’ve been a real powerhouse in rugby so it’s going to be tough but we’re just going to go out there and give it a crack.”
Back to winning ways, Harris admits his side will be looking to keep the game simple and not dropping the positive mindset Ryan has instilled in the squad.
“We’re not focusing much on what the opposition will bring, with Glasgow we just tried to put them under pressure, try and get the set piece right and just play rugby,” he added.
“We’re just trying to hold onto what we’ve been doing, hold on to what’s been working, just to try and play our game.
“Set-piece wise, attacking wise, we’re putting a little bit of pressure on the opposition with that positive mindset.
“That’s basically the key thing, don’t overthink it, keep it simple and just try and put some pressure on the opposition, that’s what we’ve been trying to do in every game to keep that continuity going.”
