Brandon Thomson hit the post with the last kick of the game as Dragons held on to edge a remarkable encounter with Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun.
The visitors started well and scored early through Jared Rosser but conceded two tries when down to 14 men as Fotu Lokotui and Sean Kennedy crossed to give Glasgow a 14-10 lead at half-time.
But Dragons were impressive when they had the full complement and Brok Harris’ try in the second half, combined with some excellent game management and 13 points from Sam Davies, had looked to have seen the visitors comfortably home.
The hosts piled on the pressure late on though and Johnny Matthews dotted down to reduce the deficit to one point only for Thomson to hit the post with his conversion, having Dragons the game and their first successive away success in eight years.
